There are a lot of food challenge competition shows, and each one is different in its own right. Tournament of Champions is one that I always look forward to in March.

Tournament of Champions on The Food Network

You know the bracket thingys people fill out in March, in hopes of picking the winning basketball teams? Well, this show is like that, except the teams are all world-class chefs. They compete in bracket-style cooking competitions, but the real challenge is the randomizer. The chefs don't know the protein, the style of cooking, kitchen gadget, and sometimes a surprise twist category. The sixth annual tournament just wrapped up, and there were some surprising upsets.

Meet Sara Bradley from Paducah, Kentucky

I was so impressed watching Chef Sara Bradley keep her cool under the pressure of cooking in front of an audience that included the show's host, Guy Fieri! I had never seen her compete on any of the Food Network shows, but I was rooting for her since she is from Kentucky. Sara already had several wins under her belt. She was runner-up on season 16 and season 20 all-stars of Bravo’s competitive cooking show Top Chef. Sara has also been crowned best in America as a chopped champion, and she owns her own restaurant in Paducah, Kentucky.

Kentucky Chef Finishes Strong

Of all of the popular chefs on competition shows, I think that it would be extremely intimidating to go head-to-head against Antonia Lofaso. Sara Bradley did just that. She ended up finishing second on Tournament of Champions! This really puts her Kentucky restaurant on the culinary list of spots to try.
