Two Local Restaurants Join Forces to Create a New Evansville Dessert
When it comes to classic combinations, pizza and ice cream probably are not the first thing you think of. Two locally owned Evansville restaurants are combining ideas and flavors that will change your mind.
Dream it, Believe it, Build it
Starting a new business, especially a restaurant is a very risky venture. But for Casey Keown, his desire to build his dream far outweighed any obstacle or sacrifice. Casey Keown dreamed of opening a cool pizza spot where friends could gather and enjoy great food, drinks, and baseball. Yes, baseball is the theme for Casey's Dugout. More specifically, Donnie Baseball. His pizza boutique is full of amazing Don Mattingly memorabilia, and shout-outs to Evansville's past.
Local Forces Unite
Casey's Dugout has been open for just over a year, and people rave about the pizza and Casey! He's always changing things up and adding more options to the menu. His new dessert is bound to be a part of Evansville's restaurant history.
Casey enlisted the help of Chad Grunow and his team of ice cream makers at G.D. Ritzy's to make the ultimate local restaurant partnership. It's kind of unusual to hear about restaurants joining forces and combining menu items. But, I think this is a really awesome way to cross-promote these amazing locally owned eateries.

Love helping and supporting other local small businesses. This is how we grow, together not alone. Make sure you stop by and support Casey and his gang. They are great people and support our community just like we do.
The Ritz Chip is made with two homemade chocolate chip cookies paired with G.D. Ritzy's vanilla or mint chip ice cream. You can also get scoops of ice cream at Casey's Dugout in cute little baseball cap dishes.
