There is a large building at the corner of Covert and Vann in Evansville, Indiana that has been several different grocery stores in the past. Now, there is a different type of store, but some weekends, you can find groceries there.

In 2017 this location was home to Priceless Foods grocery store. Before that, it was a Buy Low.

Thanks to Google Maps, we can see the completely empty storefront in 2002, and then the beginnings of a variety store with over 150 booths.

Giant Weekend Flea Market

That brings us to the current day, and the huge space is maintained by the owners of The Big E2 Superstore. My son loves to look around at vendor stores, antique shops, and thrift stores. As soon as we walked in, I knew he would love it.

The Big "E" Fleamarket

I was a little bit confused at first because I thought that they were only open on certain weekends, but that is the other half of the space. The Big "E" Flea Market is only open the 1st & 3rd Weekend of each month. The spaces are connected on the inside, as well as a separate entrance. Just like the Big E2, you shop and pay at each vendor's booth. So, you can shop every Friday through Sunday in one section of the booths, and then the entire store opens up twice a month.

Pro Tips

I recommend bringing cash. A lot of vendors will accept credit and debit cards, but we have left sad when a particular treasure was cash only. Sometimes certain booths are closed because the owner just isn't there. In some cases, other vendors are allowed to still sell those items, so it helps to ask questions.

St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Stores Will No Longer Accept These Items

Before you load up the car to drop off your donation to an area St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store, make sure you leave these items behind. The organization says they will no longer be accepting them.
