Ride Roller Coasters in the Dark at Holiday World’s ‘Friday Night Live’ Events

A fun announcement from Holiday World!  In conjunction with National Roller Coaster Day August 16th, the beloved southern Indiana amusement park is launching a new event. It's called Friday Night Live!

Friday Night Live! will take place from 5pm to 10pm Friday, August 16th, Friday, August 23rd and Friday, August 30th and will feature live music, drink specials, and night rides on Holiday World's roller coasters and major attractions.

Here's an example! According to park officials, the park will celebrate Friday Night Live! "by turning off the mid-course 'trims' on The Voyage, giving riders a slightly faster ride in the dark." I am a Voyage stan and I absolutely love riding the coaster in the dark. Honestly, in my opinion, riding The Voyage at night (in the back seat) is the single best ride experience you can have at Holiday World.

Another highlight of Friday Night Live! will be the live bands in the park. Evansville, Indiana cover band Happy New Day will be playing the greatest hits of the '80s, '90s and '00s near Plymouth on the Rocks. Bluegrass fans will be treated to Backwoods Bluegrass, who'll be performing at the Hoosier Celebration Theater in the 4th of July section of the park.

Friday Night Live! is open at all Season Pass ticket holders and Any Day ticket holders. If you'd like to buy a ticket specifically for Friday Night Live!, you can do so. If you buy tickets in advance online, they are $25. If you purchase a Friday Night Live! ticket onsite, it's $30.
