Tree Removal from Roadways
- Warrick Co. Highway Dept: If you know of trees down blocking the roadway you can report them to our office at 812-897-6126 or dispatch at 812-897-1200.
- Vanderburgh Co. Highway Dept: Call 812-435-5777.
Safety Reminders
- Remember to check any exterior vent pipes (HVAC or dryer vents) on your home. Blocked vents can potentially lead to carbon monoxide buildup in the home.
- Hooking up your generator directly into your home power supply could increase the voltage or could cause a surge to the outside power lines and potentially injure or electrocute an unaware utility lineman. It also bypasses some of the built-in household circuit protection devices. Connecting the generator to your home could cause a surge in electricity that might result in injury or death to yourself or your family. - FEMA
- Always use generators outside and hook up an appropriate heavy-duty extension cord.
