I love reading, and I do it every night before going to bed, but there's one glaring problem: I haven’t cracked open an actual paper book in years.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against physical books. I just don't have a place to store them in my home, and it typically takes me longer to read them than a library checkout deadline allows. (I usually read for like 20 minutes in bed before I pass out).

For these reasons alone, I am partial to digital books, but going on a tour of cool bookstores in Chicago this holiday season still sounds pretty fun to me!

For the first time ever, 43 bookstores throughout the Chicago area are teaming up to give book lovers the chance to spend a Saturday surrounded by shelves of stories, instead of department store craziness this holiday season.
