Taking full advantage of all the fun summer in Illinois has to offer requires planning in advance, soooo, if you're a junky for a good fair, festival, or concert too, you better go ahead and earmark September 12-14 on your calendar right now. Here's why...

Big Change Coming to 2025 McHenry Music Festival

Until today I was unaware that a large-scale, professional music festival takes place each September at Petersen Park in McHenry, Illinois.

The McHenry Music Festival  began in 2021 as "a unique way to “Pay it Forward” to the residents and visitors of McHenry", and it typically takes place mid-September on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, BUT not this year.

After already announcing the dates for the 2025 McHenry Music Festival, Thursday, September 11 through Saturday, September 13, AND putting tickets on sale, the committee had to make a major change for one very good reason.

Basically, the 2025 McHenry Music Festival dates have changed from Thursday through Saturday, to Friday through Sunday, (September 14-16), to make room for an act "they have been trying to get for years" to play on Sunday night.

Yes, this act is a country act, and yes, they promise it is well worth the change of dates.

They've already announced Sam Hunt and Dustin Lynch for Friday night, September 12, so who could this "major country artist" be?!?
