Consumers in Indiana and the rest of the nation can expect to see prices increase in the coming months on some of their regular everyday products, like laundry detergent, toilet paper, and more.

When Will Price Hikes Begin in Indiana?

According to a report from the Associated Press, we will start to see those price hikes as early as August on products manufactured by The Procter and Gamble Company (P&G).

The price increases, which will be implemented starting next month, will be in the mid-single digit percentages and will also be combined with improved features in the products, P&G’s Chief Financial Officer Andre Schulten told reporters on a call on Tuesday after the release of its fiscal fourth-quarter results - AP.

Why Procter & Gamble Is Raising Prices

P&G is blaming the price increases, at least in part, on tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump. They say consumers can expect to see around a 5% jump at the registers, despite the company sharing the news that sales had pretty much stayed consistent with 2024 at $84.3 billion, and reporting a net profit of $16.1 billion for fiscal year 2025.

What Else Is Changing at P&G

Procter & Gamble says they have raised their dividend for 69 straight years, increasing the amount of money it pays to shareholders every year without missing a single year for nearly seven decades. In addition to massive profits and increasing consumer pricing, with the promise of more increases likely in 2026, P&G also says it plans to cut up to 7,000 office jobs and exit certain markets (like Argentina) to lower costs.
