Beloved Evansville Coffee Shop Marks Its 10th Birthday

Ten years ago, Honey Moon Coffee Co. opened the doors to its first coffee shop on Weinbach Avenue near the University of Evansville.

A lot can happen in a decade.

For Honey Moon owners Zac and Jessica Parsons, that single Evansville coffee shop has grown into four locations across the area, a coffee roasting operation and a familiar local brand built around really good coffee, really good food and the kind of people who make you feel welcome when you walk through the door.

And now, Honey Moon is celebrating 10 years with a couple of appropriately sweet birthday treats.

From One Evansville Coffee Shop to Four

Honey Moon's original Weinbach Avenue location remains its flagship, but the company has grown considerably since opening its doors in 2016.

Today, you'll also find Honey Moon on Evansville's east side near Burkhardt Road, on the west side, and along the riverfront in Newburgh.

The west side location is also home to Evansville Coffee Company, Honey Moon's roasting operation.

It's pretty incredible growth for a small business that started with one neighborhood coffee shop just 10 years ago.

I've had the opportunity to meet Zac and Jessica personally over the years, and they are genuinely two of the kindest people you could hope to meet. My daughter even worked for Honey Moon for a short time, so watching their business continue to grow has been especially fun.

Honey Moon Is Celebrating With Birthday Cake

Of course, you can't have a birthday without cake.

Honey Moon changes up its Lunar Waffle flavors each month, and for August, the bubble waffle is getting the full birthday treatment.

The Anniversary Cake Waffle starts with one Light Moon Bubble Waffle topped with homemade pink funfetti fluff and sprinkles.

There is also an Anniversary Cake Latte made with espresso, white mocha, and cupcake syrup, then topped with red velvet foam and sprinkles.

No candles, though.

Both anniversary specials are available at all Honey Moon Coffee Co. locations, giving you a pretty delicious excuse to help a locally owned Evansville business celebrate a major milestone.

Ten years, four coffee shops, and countless cups of coffee later, I'd say that's absolutely worth celebrating.
