
Free Family Resource Fair Coming to Downtown Evansville
Goodwill Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP), in partnership with Caresource, will provide a free family resource fair in downtown Evansville.
What Is the Goodwill NFP Program?
Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana began its Nurse-Family Partnership in Indiana in 2011 with just eight nurses serving Indianapolis. In that time, the program has expanded to include services to 62 Hoosier counties including Vanderburgh, Gibson, Warrick, and Posey.
By the end of 2022, Goodwill NFP reached a milestone of supporting over 4,000 babies born throughout our service area, which means their parents learned how to bond with their baby; keep their baby safe; were counseled on the benefits of breastfeeding; received trusted resources, support, and guidance, as needed, for housing, education, employment and child care; and had their physical status regularly assessed, so they could achieve a healthy pregnancy and birth. The Babies and Bumps Family Resource Fair is free for new and expecting parents to attend. The event will offer a number of resources for those in need.
Free Diaper Giveaway - While Supplies Last
In addition to food, prizes, and children's activities, the Babies and Bumps Family Resource Fair will be giving away free diapers while supplies last.
Community Resources On Hand to Help Families
The event will host a number of local community resources, and attendees will have the opportunity to learn how to have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy child. There will be lessons on car seat safety, breasfeeding support, and more.
When and Where Is The Babies and Bumbs Family Resource Fair?
The Babies and Bumps Family Resource Fair will take place on Friday, March 21, 2025, at the CK Newsome Community Center located at 100 E Walnut Street in downtown Evansville. Again, the Babies and Bumps Family Resource Fair is free to attend, and will take place from 11 am - 1 pm.
Where to Park and How to Get There
Parking for the Babies and Bumps Family Resource Fair will be available in the adjacent parking lot. Metropolitan Evansville Transit System (METS) offer several routes that stop nearby. Additionally, Caresource is offering free rides for its members, but the ride must be scheduled in advance before March 15th by calling 1-844-607-2829.
