When it comes to holiday traditions, there is one winter event that feels woven into the fabric of the season here in Evansville. The lights return to Garvin Park, the cocoa gets poured, and suddenly the whole world seems a little more magical.

What to Expect at This Year’s Fantasy of Lights

Ritzy’s Fantasy of Lights is back for its 32nd year, now through January 1, 2026, and I promise the glow will have you feeling like a kid again.

Why Evansville Loves This Holiday Tradition

It's become a holiday tradition for me and my partner to bundle up, hop in the car, and take that familiar turn into Garvin Park. There's just something about the sparkling displays that makes me feel like I'm six again. It's the kind of joy that sneaks up on you in the best way.

This year’s display features more than 90 lighted scenes, some towering as high as 25 feet. In total, the park shines with more than 100,000 bulbs. You can't help but roll down the windows just a little to take it all in.

How the Event Supports Easterseals Year After Year

Ritzy’s Fantasy of Lights began with 26 displays and one big idea from Andy Guagenti, founder of Ritzy’s. Today, it stands as one of the largest holiday light displays in the region and continues to support the mission of the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center.

Your visit helps Easterseals provide services for more than 5,600 children and adults with disabilities every year. That includes essential therapies, early education, audiology services, aquatic therapy, mobility devices, counseling, and so much more. One in four local families will rely on Easterseals at some point in their lives.

Where to Find Andy the Elf for Weekly Prizes

If you visited last year, you already know Andy the Elf caused all kinds of fun mischief throughout the park. He is back again for 2025 and will be hiding in a new spot every Wednesday through December 24. If you find him, snap a picture and enter the weekly contest for the chance to win prizes.
