A Southern Indiana Tradition

If you live anywhere near Southern Indiana, then there's a very good chance you've been to Holiday World before.  Many of us who were raised around this area have fond memories of enjoying Holiday  World in the summertime.  When I was a kid we didn't really do family vacations, but one thing we always did was go to Holiday World.  Some of my favorite memories as a kid surround our annual Holiday World trip.

I thought I had experienced everything Holiday World had to offer over the years, but it turns out I was wrong. There's one experience I haven't had the chance to do, and it sounds super fun!

World-Class Wooden Coasters at Holiday World

I've always been a bit of a thrillseeker, so rollercoasters are my favorite type of rides, and as much as I love a steel coaster, there is just something classic about a wooden coaster.  Holiday World is known for having three award-winning wooden coasters: The Raven, The Legend, and The Voyage.

Climb To The Top of The Voyage's 163 Foot Hill

When you join a Holiday World guided tour, you'll get to see one of Holiday World's iconic wooden coasters in a way you've never seen it before!

The Voyage is a huge wooden coaster that lasts for almost 3 minutes (2 minutes, and 45 seconds to be exact).

The Voyage provides the most air-time of any wooden coaster with a World Record 24.3 seconds (anything less than +.25 vertical G’s, average front/middle/back seats).
