Recently, Yes, the pineapple is actually pink!

The Pinkglow Pineapple

I remember a few years ago hearing about the pink pineapple, but I honestly thought it was fake.  After it kept popping up online, I did some research and found out, it is a real variety of pineapple.  Now the outside of the pineapple isn't pink, but the inside is pink instead of the standard yellow.  So why is this?

Where to Find the Pinkglow Pineapple in Evansville

Recently I was at the grocery store and I found the viral pink pineapple.  I looked at it, thought "Wow I thought those were just something you could buy online" and then put it back and walked off.  Well, now I'm kicking myself for not ponying up the money and buying one to try!

If I remember correctly, I think these pineapples were $10 each.  Which, is expensive for a pineapple, but it's kind of a whole experience.  Now I found the Pinkglow Pineapple at Schnucks on North Green River Road, and this was a couple of weeks ago.  According to Schnucks' website, they do sell these pineapples, so I'm sure you could check Schnucks locations for the Pinkglow Pineapple.  However what's confusing is according to Del Monte's website, only one store in Evansville carries the Pinkglow Pineapple, and that's Fresh Thyme at 1121 Hirschland Rd.

So if you want to try the viral Pinkglow Pineapple for yourself, it seems Fresh Thyme and Schnucks will be your best bet for finding one in Evansville, but if you spot them anywhere else, let me know!
