Pike County Chamber of Commerce Starts Interesting Fundraiser

The Pike County Chamber of Commerce has come up with a very unique way to raise funds for their cause this holiday season. Not only are they promoting to shop small, local businesses, but they're making it fun and festive! If you don't want to get "Scrooged", you'd better follow along. Chamber members have posted signs stating, "Ebenezer Scrooge has shown up at your home or business...and he's refusing to leave until you do one thing: prove you are not a local Scrooge". If you get Scrooged, a sign will be placed on your lawn until you comply with Scrooge's orders. Check out Scrooge's first victim:

 How To Prove You Are Not a Local Scrooge

If someone does decide to Scrooge you, and you'd like to prove you are not a Scrooge, there's a simple task to complete to have Scrooge removed. Buy a gift from any Pike County Chamber member, take a picture for proof, post on social media, and tag the Chamber with #youvebeenscrooged. At that time, you will be de-Scrooged. Fear not, Scrooge will only be Scrooge-ing around Petersburg, Winslow, Spurgeon, and Otwell...as far as we know anyway. Scrooge was recently found trolling the businesses of Pike County, as you can see below.
