Local Artist Releases IU Song Ahead Of National Championship
Tri-State Musician Writes And Records IU Anthem
When I first met Kayla Yeh it was actually at the closing table of a mortgage deal we were closing. Little did I know, she actually had some pipes on her and was about to start chasing that elusive Nashville dream. She's a few years into her Nashville dream adventure at this point, working closely with artists like Bryan White, whom she opens for this weekend in Glasgow, Kentucky. Yeh is a graduate of South Spencer High School, whose father raised her right, as a diehard IU fan. Yeh said, "Dad would always joke around and say you can't come in the house with a UK or Purdue shirt on." Yeh and her husband Justin have been following the Hoosiers throughout this football season, traveling to the bowls when they can. In memory of her father, Jack Smith, Yeh wrote and recorded an awesome IU anthem for the National Championship game.
Find Your Own IU Anthem
Before Monday night, I thought I would help you all out and provide the IU fight song lyrics for all the IU bandwagon fans to jump on board. Personally, I welcome you, and will gladly drop you off at home after Monday night.
Indiana, Our Indiana
Indiana, we're all for you
We will fight for
the Cream & Crimson,
For the glory of Old IU
Never daunted, we cannot falter
In the battle, we're tried and true
Indiana, Our Indiana
Indiana, we're all for you!
While I'm partial to Kayla's cute, country toe tapper, several other musicians and fans have also put out IU anthems. Let's take a look at some of them.
