Indianapolis Colts Mascot Blue Is Back to His Mischief

My absolute favorite TikTok account to follow is Blue, the mascot for the Indianapolis Colts.

His feed is full of chaotic videos of him pieing people in the face, dancing inappropriately, and just being a complete menace to everyone around him.

Colts Mascot Blue Is a Fan Favorite

Blue is so loved that he was named the NFL Mascot of the Year in 2023. It was the third time he had won the honor since his introduction in 2006. He accepted his award in full Blue fashion, wearing a custom jacket, gloves, and a chain with his likeness on it.

Mascot of the Year was not his only recognition. According to colts.com, Blue also earned Social Media of the Year honors in 2023. That year alone, he racked up 474.1 million views, 17.1 million likes, and 421.8 thousand shares across social platforms.

Blue Surprises TV Personality Matt Standridge

This morning, Blue surprised a popular Indianapolis TV personality on air.

I’ll admit, my headline might have been a little clickbait-y, but I had to get you here to watch the video because it is hilarious. I first saw screenshots on WTHR-TV Meteorologist Matt Standridge’s Facebook page. I live a few hours away from Indianapolis, but really like his weather content about the state. And he's let me use his photos in my articles in the past. He's a good dude.

During a live segment where Matt was interviewing the Colts cheerleaders and trying out some choreography, Blue rolled in on his scooter, showed off some moves, then pulled his shirt over Matt's head and tackled him to the ground before letting him go and running away.

Classic Blue.

Matt Took It Like a Champ

I am not sure if Matt expected it or not, but he was a good sport and laughed it off. He said, "Blue the mascot from the Indianapolis Colts tackled me NFL-style live on air this morning. If coach saw this, he will never let me in the game this weekend. We are so excited for the Colts home opener against the Dolphins this Sunday!! Go Colts!"

As a horse owner myself, I have to tell you Matt… you can’t let them get away with it. Next time, be ready.
